Establishing The New Economy Through Kingdom Partnership

By Dr. Bill Winston

Since the start of 2020, we have seen every mountain of influence, in almost every nation, shaken by the current pandemic. Whether business, government, education, religion, arts and entertainment, or family, no sphere of influence has been untouched by this novel virus.

But here’s the thing to remember as entrepreneurs and business people of FAITH: We don’t deny the reality of an enemy nor run from it because of fear. Goliath was real, but David responded by running to the giant. He declared God’s outcome, and it happened just as David said.

After Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s troubling dream, he didn’t deny that seven years of famine would be coming upon Egypt. No. Joseph prepared the nation for it. How? By bringing forth God-given solutions that would ultimately save not only Egypt but the entire world, including Joseph’s family, from starvation.

Joseph’s economic and agricultural policies positioned Egypt to become the breadbasket for the world. (See Genesis 41:57.) Surrounding countries brought their gold, silver and land ownership to Egypt in exchange for food. For almost a decade, Egypt operated as an international food bank and became a world superpower.

The Bible says, “And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times…” (Isaiah 33:6). God gave Joseph wisdom and revelation knowledge that brought security and stability on a global scale. He placed an anointing on Joseph to produce provision that would feed the nations until the famine was over.

In 2020 and beyond, God is looking for “Josephs” to bring stability to our times. Now, more than ever, people all over the world are crying out for stability, financial security, and a return to “normalcy” (e.g., return to work, attend church, go back to school, get a haircut, or simply go to the movies).

Even when this pandemic ends, much of our work, especially in the business arena, will just be beginning. We must be ready to rebuild communities, cities, and countries. For example, at the time of this writing, more than 30 million people in the United States are without jobs, and many small business owners are threatened with bankruptcy.

We also must be ready to go even further. God recently told me, “The Church is supposed to bring forth the strongest economy on the planet and use it to shift the culture of the world, like Joseph.” Where do we shift the culture? Back to God… which is why the Joseph Center Foundation is uniquely positioned to answer this prophetic call.

Of all the businesses and ministries that I have established, I believe the Joseph Center Foundation is the culmination of my three-decades-old teaching on the divine partnership of kings and priests, the basis of my book Faith & The Marketplace.

For those not familiar with it, kings and priests is the biblical concept of the partnership, ordained by God, of those who serve in the marketplace (i.e., kings) and those who serve in the clergy (i.e., priests). In the Bible, kings had the responsibility to defend the nation and, when necessary, go to war against the nation’s enemies. Kings would collect the spoils of war and bring them back to prosper the nation and support the work of the temple.

One of the priest’s responsibilities was to bless the king for victory in battle. God would often grace the priest with divine information to help the king win against his nation’s enemies. (Read Amos 3:7 and 2 Kings 6:8-12.)

Shifting the Culture of the World

The Joseph Center® Foundation (JCF) is the prophetic and funding arm of the Joseph Business School, which is raising up business leaders with the prophetic anointing of Joseph. These leaders will eventually be the financial gatekeepers of the world and the producers of goods and services that will guarantee the preservation of all humanity.

JCF is a Kingdom enterprise for Kingdom expansion and to manifest God’s righteous cause. Our vision is large. Our plan is to help create businesses that will bring forth a new global economy, the strongest this world has ever experienced. An economy that is unaffected by famines and impervious to pandemics.

God says that He will give the Church the “treasures of darkness and hidden riches in secret places” (Isaiah 45:3). He said He will take the wealth of sinners and bring it into our possession.

We will have the ability to establish God’s Kingdom in the earth without the limitation of lack and want in the Body of Christ. Part of the Foundation’s funding will go to help launch businesses that will, in turn, build churches and communities, eradicating poverty and improving the economic disparity of minority communities.

To better understand The Joseph Center® Foundation, the following is a brief overview of how the funding will come in and how the funding will be distributed.

The Foundation will be primarily funded by a network of companies and organizations who have financially partnered with the Foundation to support its vision. Foundation funds will be used in three primary ways:

1) to provide capital for new business start-ups, expansions and ideas;

2) to establish Joseph Center® in ten major cities;

3) to offset the expenses for educating and developing new entrepreneurs, JBS affiliate organizations, and other programs such as the Restoring Inheritance Stewarding Excellence (R.I.S.E.) prison program.

The Joseph Center®s in the other major cities will be a mirror image of our headquarters in Forest Park, Illinois. That is, we plan to duplicate in these ten cities the same economic ecosystem, with the same biblical mandate to dominate the spheres of influence, that we established at our Joseph Center® in Forest Park.

The Power of Prophetic Partnership

He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

(Matthew 10:41)

The Joseph Center® Foundation is committed to bringing economic justice and wealth-producing opportunities to impoverished communities that have been excluded from the world’s prosperity. And equally important to us is our commitment to the mutual success of our Foundation partners…the companies who are supporting us in this righteous cause.

Our commitment to our company partners is based on covenant practice and biblical principle. The law of sowing and reaping is the way God operates, and receiving a return is one of the benefits that will come to our company partner for supporting the Joseph Center Foundation. I believe this benefit is what sets us apart from other organizations that have a similar mission.

According to the Scriptures, you cannot give to the work of God, or to the prophet of God, without God measuring your seed back to you. His return could come through preferential treatment in business deals, favorable contract terms, canceled business debts, new market opportunities, and/or innovative ideas that lead to global expansion. God’s ways of blessing you are both limitless and supernatural.

One example of this is found in Luke, chapter 5. Peter gives Jesus his company’s fishing boat so that the people gathered by Lake Gennesaret could hear the Word of God. It became Jesus’ pulpit. Jesus sat down in Peter’s boat “and began teaching the crowds from the boat. When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon [Peter], “Put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a catch [of fish]” (Verses 3-4 AMP).

Peter starts to object saying that he and his partners had toiled all night and caught nothing. Then he answers, “But at Your Word, I will do as you say.” (Verse 5 AMP). When Peter obeys Jesus’ instruction, they pull in so much fish that their boats begin to sink. Peter was so astounded by this miracle that he fell down and repented at Jesus’ knees. Some Bible teachers say that Peter’s catch was so large it changed the entire economy of the region.

Another example of sowing into the work of God is the story of the Shunamite woman in 2 Kings, chapter 4. The wealthy woman of Shunem generously gave to the prophet Elisha by caring for him and building him a prophet’s quarters. In response to her kindness, the prophet pronounced a blessing on her that only God could have supernaturally delivered.

Elisha said, “Next year at about this time you shall have a son!” (verse 16 TLB). The woman, who had no children and her husband was old, gave birth the following year just as Elisha had declared.

This was all supernatural. What these examples demonstrate is the power of this unbeatable team of kings and priests, the relationship between the clergy and the company. What we are talking about is the biblical pattern of sowing and reaping yielding supernatural results. This kind of prosperity does not come over centuries but, as you can see, could come overnight.

The apostle Paul wrote about the benefits of partnering in the work of a prophet in Philippians 1:7. He told his supporters who gave to his ministry, “ye all are partakers of my grace.” This means that as you come alongside the Joseph Center Foundation and become a Foundation partner, you now are partakers of my grace―God’s favor and earthly blessings.

So, get ready for an increase in God’s anointing that will take you to greater levels of business success, profits and market share, which will help prepare for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

(Matthew 24:14)
