The Dream Team

The revelation of kings and priests is a fundamental principle in the kingdom of God. God wants His kingdom to be established in every nation on the earth and to influence every sphere and realm of society, which includes the marketplace.

Kings are anointed marketplace leaders and have the primary responsibility of bringing in the necessary resources to advance the Kingdom. Priests are those who serve in full-time ministry as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, and have the primary responsibility for caring for God’s house and informing the people of what God is saying.

This divine partnership of kings and priests is no ordinary one. It is a powerful concept, and when put together, these two offices will optimally advance the kingdom of God. I call this combination the “DREAM TEAM” of the kingdom. And when understood and properly functioning, this team will cause the power, performance and progress of the Body of Christ to rise to an extraordinary level.

In many places in Scripture, we see these two offices and anointings working together. For example, the prophet Elijah told King Ahab, “Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain” (1 Kings 18:41). Notice that the direction and timing of the move of God came through the prophet. Since the king believed the prophet and followed his instruction, there was a supernatural outcome.

This Kingdom model caused Israel to win impossible battles and conquer territories previously possessed by its enemies. This same model of kings and priests will work for us today.

Another good example is King David. He, through battles won, accumulated billions and stored all that was needed for his son Solomon built to build a magnificent temple years later. First Chronicles 22:5 says,

And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the Lord must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it…

Likewise, when kings and priests come together to fulfill a God-given assignment, they are guaranteed to fulfill the plan of God, and money will never be a barrier.

For example, if a church has a project that requires financing, these marketplace leaders (kings) are equipped with the financial resources to completely finance this God-given dream. God, through their RIGHTEOUS GIVING, will multiply their resources for sowing. The apostle Paul writes,

And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness...
2 Corinthians 9:10 AMPC

David confirms this, “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my RIGHTEOUS CAUSE: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant”
(Psalm 35:27).

In these last days, as the Church restores the Old Testament model of God’s dream team, I believe we will tap into a new level of game-changing results that will lift the curse off our cities and establish heaven on earth in the most impossible environments. A king who understands his or her RIGHTEOUS CALLING will be the most powerful and influential individual in the marketplace.

Our modern-day kings (or entrepreneurs) are responsible for securing the provision of God. They are the “ministers of the marketplace,” and it is critical that the modern-day priests “bless” the kings as they gather this provision. Rather than complaining about what is wrong in our society, this divine dream team will provide solutions, alternatives and, most importantly, godly leadership in these exceptional and challenging times, just as Abraham did in partnering with Melchizedek (see Genesis 14) and Joseph did in partnering with Pharaoh in Egypt (see Genesis 41). No industry will be untouched by this army of marketplace leaders as they invade every sphere of influence in our society.

You Were Made for Miracles

Miracles are a deviation from the known laws of nature. A supernatural event.

Miracles are not hocus-pocus. They are based on spiritual laws and are highly predictable. They work the same way every time just like the law of gravity. Miracles dominate time, space and matter.

The story of Peter in Luke, chapter 5, is an example I always use when teaching about miracles. He was in the fishing industry, and as an entrepreneur, his business was in a financial drought.

Jesus came preaching the good news of the gospel of the Kingdom and seeing Peter’s empty boat, He requested the use of it. Peter gave the Lord permission, and Jesus launched out a little from the shore and taught the people about Kingdom principles.

When He finished, He turned to Peter and commanded him to launch out into the deep and let down his nets for a draught, a great multitude of fishes.

Peter replied, “We have fished all night and caught nothing. Nevertheless, I will let down the net” Luke 5:5 KJV. The scriptures say, “When they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes and the net brake” Luke 5:6 KJV. Peter called for his partners which together pulled in so many fish until their boats began to sink.

Peter went from a drought, not enough, to a draught, more than enough, in one day. This is a picture of the miracle realm of God in which every believer’s business could operate if the anointed partnership of kings and priests is in operation. If you are going through a financial drought, with this dream team, your business can turn around in one day.

God has ways for our Kingdom businesses to supernaturally overcome any insufficiency, whether its customers, ideas, or product sales, caused by the economy, environments or marketplace conditions.

Once years ago, when I was a computer sales marketing manager for IBM, like Peter, I was in a drought… of computer sales! The economy was down and nobody was buying.

I got a call on the last day of the month and was asked, “How are you doing this month?” I replied by faith, “I’m doing just fine, thank you. Call me back at 5:00 p.m. today and I’ll have so much business I won’t be able to put it all on the books.”

I (a king) had learned this principle from a Bible teacher (priest) that for supernatural results you must call things that be not as those though they were. My words released the faith that manifested this miracle.

At 5:00 p.m. that same day, I had received enough computer orders to meet the entire obligations of my branch office... with no sweat or toil. That year I was top marketing manager and the sales representatives who worked with me earned some of the highest sales commissions that year. That was a miracle.

Peter and company had not only caught enough fish for their business to experience financial freedom, but their catch shifted the economy of that entire coast of Capernaum and lifted them to the top of their industry. This is what The Blessing of Abraham is designed to do for every believer in any industry and nation.

The lesson is that wherever you start and apply Kingdom principles and operate in this kings and priests anointing, you are guaranteed to rise up and eventually have marketplace dominance.

Here are three steps that will lead you to "Dream Team" performance.

1. Locate Your Priest or Prophet.

That is, find someone who has been sent and can speak into your life anointed teaching or revelation that will reveal to you strategies for marketplace success.

“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent?” Romans 10:14-15. (Also read 2 Kings 19:1-6.)

2. Listen for the Voice of God.

Listen for God speaking personally to you, revealing the faith step you must take for Kingdom results. Through the voice or rhema of God, you will have the faith to do the impossible.

“God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this…” Psalm 62:5

3. Expect a Miracle from God.

You might not know how God is going to do it, but you can be certain what God will do. He will always perform what He has promised.

“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” Psalm 62:5

In the Book of Isaiah, the prophet says, “Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion”
(Isaiah 8:18).

I encourage you to be adventurous and take your business to the next level…the level of the supernatural and miracles. This is where you will experience the BIG CATCH and GREAT INFLUENCE and TURN NATIONS BACK TO GOD.
